Zdenek Vajnlich (Senior VAT Manager)

Zdenek Vajnlich has been working as Senior VAT Manager with Meridian International VAT Consulting since 2006. Zdenek studied at the University of Economics in Prague and completed his Master degree in Vienna. Zdenek is responsible for Meridian´s VAT Consulting department in the US as well as for a team of consultants in Europe. Prior to working for Meridian, Zdenek worked for Crowe Horwath in Vienna and in Prague. A Czech national, Zdenek is fluent in English and German and is advising predominantly US and German multinational as well as small and mid-size businesses on their international, specifically EU, VAT obligations. Further, he specialises on VAT treatment of cross border supply chains, advises clients on their international VAT issues related hereto and handles VAT audits for Meridian´s clients. Zdenek also provides VAT training to a variety of clients either in the US or in Europe and is further responsible for projects concerning implementation of multiple VAT registrations for new clients. Zdenek covers predominantly the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) as well as Czech republic and Slovakia. He is a member of the VAT Committee of the Institute of professionals in taxation and is a regular speaker at the IPT VAT Symposiums held in the US and at other conferences.

Michelle Lang (Director, International VAT Consulting)

Michelle Lang is a Director in the Meridian Consulting team and is based in Dublin. Michelle provides VAT advice on various issues to Meridian clients across a broad range of industries, including the pharma and manufacturing sectors. Michelle also specialises on the implementation of Meridian client’s in managing its multi-jurisdictional VAT registration and compliance obligations within the EU. Michelle has over 15 years’ experience in VAT having worked with Deloitte prior to joining Meridian in 2013. Michelle holds a degree in Finance and is a qualified member of the Institute of Taxation in Ireland.
